Highly recommend for families
The owner went out of his way to accommodate us, like on our final night when we struggled to arrange a train to Aswan. He made sure we had a packed breakfast for our early start and even drove us to the boat dock himself, which felt generous.
It wasn't exactly a bargain but still reasonable considering the service and conveniences we got.

Staying at New Memnon exceeded my expectations. Sayed, the owner, was incredibly welcoming. He organized private activities for us through Luxor, ensuring a very reasonable price. The food was fabulous, with home-cooked meals prepared by a friendly staff member. Dining with Sayed felt like sharing a meal with family. My room was clean, equipped with good air conditioning, and offered a superb view of the Theban hills. I appreciated the picturesque garden and the quiet surroundings, perfect for unwinding. The only downside was the shower drain being slightly clogged, which was a minor inconvenience during our two-night stay. Despite that, the experience was delightful, with easy access to local sites and a nice atmosphere for relaxation.

The food was excellently prepared and flavorful.
Be careful when using the hot water, as I mistakenly took a cold shower before realizing I had to turn it on first. Additionally, the bathroom cleanliness could use some improvement, especially the balcony chairs that had droppings from the birds. I also found the Wi-Fi connection inconsistent, which limited my ability to plan my daily excursions effectively.

the shower was so small, it’s like they expected me to shower in a phone booth. really not what i expected. and the lack of power outlets is laughable. i thought my room would at least have a complimentary upgrade for my troubles, but instead, i was treated like everyone else. disappointing, honestly.

A garden of delicious surprises
The owner, Sayed, made our stay exceptional, sharing fresh fruits from the garden and providing personal touches that felt like family. Our room offered breathtaking views of the sunset over the fields.
While the hotel had an overall charming character, the shower was quite small, making it a bit cumbersome to use comfortably. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection could have been better, limiting our planning.
